PLACES OF INTEREST

This page should include a minimum of 5 places of interest. These places should be included on your Travel Itinerary as planned stops, but on this page you will highlight them by posting pictures of them, explaining any associated costs of visiting them, providing a brief overview of why these places are worthy of visiting (such as its history, significance, etc.) and finally what days/times they are open.

I've included an example for you, but remember that you must have a minimum of 5!

Yarrow Kirk in Selkirk, Scotland

Yarrow Kirk (church) is a special destination on my trip because, according to the History of Greene County Ohio: Its People, Industries and Institutions Volume II, this is where the original Arch Grieve was married to his wife, Agnes, in the early 1800s before immigrating to the United States. It is still active and holds services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays every month and has combined with Ettrick to form the Ettrick and Yarrow Parish. The pastor is Reverand Samuel Siroky, who can be reached via email at sesiroky@btinternet.com. The website for the parish can be found here. There is no cost to visit the church other than the travel needed to get there.
